Skill-Based Learning Coming to Class 11-12: PradhanSaralnama

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced plans to add skill-based learning to Class 11 and 12 curricula. This aligns with NEP 2020 recommendations. Today, the focus is on certificates and degrees. From next year, subjects like coding, drone technology, and AI may be introduced. Until now, skill education was optional. Next, it will become a formal subject from Class 6 onwards. Pradhan aims to train youngsters in this new curriculum structure. He also praised IIT Madras for admitting talented students from sports and music backgrounds.
