Ghaziabad, June 1, 2024 – In a shocking daytime robbery, men in a red BMW attacked three people and stole their Audi car on National Highway 9, near Indirapuram. They also took Rs 18,000 in cash and a mobile phone.
Incident Details
Mohammad Nureen, who owns a car service center in Neeti Khand, reported that Vikas from Delhi’s Patparganj had given his white Audi car for service a week ago. On May 29th, around 4 PM, mechanics Aamir and Islam were driving the Audi to Delhi for parts. As they reached National Highway 9, four men in a BMW overtook and stopped them.
Before the mechanics could react, the attackers dragged Islam out and beat him with sticks, causing many injuries. The attackers then stole the Audi, Rs 18,000, and a mobile phone, and threatened to kill them before escaping. The red BMW chasing the Audi was caught on camera.
Police Investigation
Nureen informed the police immediately. CCTV footage showed the men in the BMW near the workshop before they chased the Audi on Abhay Khand Road.
Mechanic Injured
Nureen said Islam was badly beaten with sticks, leaving him hurt. He was taken to a nearby private hospital for treatment and was discharged the next day.
Arrests Expected Soon
Indirapuram ACP Swatantra Kumar Singh said the police are identifying the attackers from the CCTV footage. The workshop owner identified one of them as Bilal from Delhi. Police teams are tracking the suspects and expect to make arrests soon.
