AIADMK Chief Rejects BJP's Unity Push in Tamil NaduSaralnama

AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami met BJP's Amit Shah in New Delhi. Shah urged Palaniswami to bring back rebel leaders O Panneerselvam and T V Dhinakaran before the 2026 state elections. Palaniswami refused, saying it would destabilise AIADMK. He suggested BJP could include rebels in its alliance. The parties will talk again after Diwali in mid-October. Palaniswami said AIADMK is open to seat-sharing with BJP allies. He told party workers about the meeting on returning to Chennai. To join AIADMK again, expelled leaders must apply as new members.
